Pre-analytical - reception

The reception process of specimen kits revolves around several checkpoints :

• Package integrity
• Samples integrity
• Sample temperature at reception and during transportation
• Correct completion of required documentation
• Packaging specifically designed for survey specifications

At reception, the following information is individually recorded for each specimen kit in a specialized database :

• Demographic data
• Frequency of visits
• Date and time of specimen
• Requested analyses
• Optional analyses

After the data-entry phase, a bar-coded label is edited and allocated to each element of the kit for identification and optimal traceability for the ensuing processes. The recognition of these barcodes by our machines ensures a protected and rapid integration of results into our database.
